Contracting with Journeys Family Autism Services

Families contracting with Journeys can expect that their consultant will follow current RDI^® protocol and will:

• Conduct an initial baseline RDA® to assess the current state of the Guided Participation Relationship within the family (approximately 2 hours).
• Conduct the complete RDA® (approximately 5 hours) after the parents have completed the initial education program. Depending on parent committment and availability, this should take place sometime within the first three months of the contract period.
• Assign appropriate objectives for the parents and the child. New objectives will be assigned upon demonstrated mastery of each objective.
• Regular parent coaching after the complete RDA® has been conducted. This coaching is aimed at improving the competency of the parents in their role as a guide and will be conducted weekly or every other week, as needed. Coaching sessions will be conducted in person, with or without the child present, as needed. For clients residing outside a sixty (60) mile radius of Journeys, coaching sessions will be conducted via Skype or by phone. In person coaching sessions will take place every other month, alternating between the client's home and the Journey offices.
• Provide weekly review and feedback of client submitted video footage and analysis.

Costs

We recognize that having a child with an autism spectrum disorder can create a financial burden on a families. Journeys is committed to providing access to services for all families regardless of their financial resources. Therefore, we provide a sliding scale, based on income. Our fees, based on a six month contract are as follows:

$1,000 (income between 0-29,999)
$2,000 (30,000 - 39,000)
$3,000 (40,000 - 49,000)
$3,500 (50,000 - 79,000)
$4,000 (80,000+)

A limited number of pro bono and low income clients will be accepted based on scheduling availability.

Payment in full is expected upon receipt of a signed contract unless individual arrangements are otherwise made.

All clients contracting with Journeys must also purchase a subscription to the RDI® Learning System. This operating system provides the vehicle for you to submit video footage to your consultant and provides additional education resources that are frequently updated. The subscription cost is approximately $50/month (reduced rates available prior to completion of the full RDA® if desired). Discounts are available if you purchase your subscription through Journeys.
